잎맥. 잎에 형성된 관다발(유관속계(維管束系))을 말하며 잎 속의 물과 양분의 이동통로이다. 잎에서 광합성에 의해 만들어진 포도당이나 전분을 다른 조직에 전달해주고, 뿌리에서 흡수한 물과 무기양분을 잎세포에 전달해주는 역할을 한다.

맥은 관다발과 싸개(Vascular bundle)로 이루어져 있다.
- 물관부(Xylem) : cells that bring water and minerals from the roots into the leaf.
- 체관부(Phloem) : cells that usually move sap, with dissolved sucrose, produced by photosynthesis in the leaf, out of the leaf.
- 싸개(Sheath) : ground tissue made of lignin surrounding the vascular tissue. This sheath has a mechanical role in strengthening the rigidity of the leaf.
